To import a tractor into Zimbabwe you need the following:
1. Invoice
2. Police clearance (SA)
3. CBCA (Conformity Certificate issued by Zimbabwe government appointed quality inspectors)
4. South Africa Export bill of entry
5. Active Zimra Business Partner Number
6. Current Zimra tax clearance Certificate
7. Import Bill of entry Zimbabwe - done by a Clearing Agent.
Duty payment – a tractor pays duty at Zero % and Vat at Zero %,
- Disc Ploughs, Disc Harrows duty at 10% and Vat at Zero %
- Rippers and Cultivators Duty at 15% and Vat at Zero %
-Seeders and Planters Duty at 5% and Vat at Zero %
Single disc plough, harrows and ridgers require an import licence from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
NB there is a presumptive tax of 30% when one does not have a valid tax clearance
